I don't think there are available mixes/versions of the said songs with the x-factor to suit the lantern routines. I tried "Kumukutikutitap" once and it was difficult. Maybe they could make a remix next year for the festival.

For Kapampangan Christmas songs, I listened to the songs available and none have that x-factor needed for showtime. If there are people who may have Pinoy Christmas songs/mixes which you feel would suit the lanterns, send them to me so that I could put them on file for consideration next year.Ivan Henareshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08952639023631049082noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15647147.post-1166410385108495722006-12-18T10:53:00.000+08:002006-12-18T10:53:00.000+08:00Hi Renz, lubenas is still done in San Fernando and...Hi Renz, lubenas is still done in San Fernando and the other northern towns of Pampanga. It starts on the 16th and ends on the 24th with maytines where the lanterns converge in the town plaza.

What isn't done anymore is bringing the lubenas lanterns and the carrozas to the Giant Lantern Festival for many reasons including the distance of SM from the poblacion.Ivan Henareshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08952639023631049082noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15647147.post-1166409827961597002006-12-18T10:43:00.000+08:002006-12-18T10:43:00.000+08:00hi ivan! it was my first time to attend this festi...hi ivan! it was my first time to attend this festival and i say those lanterns were amazing. we just didn't finish the 3 rounds because our legs were getting tired from standing. i saw you. i saw anton's wife and kid too but wasn't able to get a glimpse of anton.

anyway, are you saying di na ginawa yung "lubenas" ngayon, and the marching bands? sayang naman kung ganun, i think that would give the festival a more "pinoy tradition" theme. if that's what it is happening nowadays, maybe you should include festival preservations on your advocacy. ;)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15647147.post-1166405764990252832006-12-18T09:36:00.000+08:002006-12-18T09:36:00.000+08:00boy! you do like to travel!! wish i could go to as...boy! you do like to travel!! wish i could go to as many places as you have! keep it up!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
