Magadia,

We consider the priesthood as the modern day disciples of Jesus Christ so its is your duty and obligation to show and exercise the value of Christian understanding and patience most especially to Fr. Reuter who is your fellow priest.Fr. Reuter is an extraordinary priest who up to now in his ripe old age is still serving the Church in his own way. The civil society respects him so much for the contributions he had made not only for the Church but for the society and general welfare of the Filipinos despite the fact that he is an American. If this is the thing that he has to pay for serving the Church, Who will then believe in the priesthood? We know that politics is all around even in the Church but in the case of Fr. Reuter maybe you can set it aside and just show respect to an aged disciple of Christ at least while he is still alive. I dont think that is very hard to render since you guys grew and got old in the four corners of the convent. If the sale of the house cannot be stopped and we respect that, at least let Fr.Reuter stay while he is still around. I got to see him and talked to him in that house several weeks ago during the Sta. Ana Walking Tour sponsored by the HCS.He's frail condition might worsen if he is forced to leave.Plus old people like him might not be able to cope with a different environment. Please let him stay while still alive. Please don't get offended with my letter. Its an honest to goodness opinion. Thanks a lot!

Derrick Gerardo C. Hence, my surprise when the article stated it was bought already.

The writers got confused with Xavier House and Emilio Aguinaldo College which SM had indeed purchased.Ivan Henareshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08952639023631049082noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15647147.post-17850348997294713052009-04-01T18:54:00.000+08:002009-04-01T18:54:00.000+08:00Hmmm... They probably didn't expect such a reaction by the larger public.

Of course I don't know anything about this issue and it is my wild guess.

It really doesn't matter as long as the house is saved... and no other SM Mall is build there.
Don't we have enough malls?Sidneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02495108366627361182noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15647147.post-23664807594394384422009-04-01T15:27:00.000+08:002009-04-01T15:27:00.000+08:00Glad to hear that there's positive development goi...Glad to hear that there's positive development going on for the Xavier House. I too was disappointed with the Inquirer's news report yesterday, especially when it cam out that their information wasn't accurate. Thank you for the heads up.Kathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08637045348172693023noreply@blogger.com
